Edith is a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor at Soroptimist House of Hope with nearly a decade of experience supporting individuals on their recovery journeys. She has been working in the substance use treatment field since 2016 and brings a compassionate, client-centered approach to her work. Edith earned her Associate’s Degree in Psychology in 2024 and is committed to continuing her education to further enhance her skills and impact in the field.
Prior to joining Soroptimist House of Hope, Edith worked for almost six years in a Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program, where she gained extensive experience working with diverse populations and addressing complex substance use and co-occurring challenges. She also has experience at another treatment center for two years and previously worked at a homeless shelter, giving her a well-rounded perspective on the challenges faced by individuals from all walks of life. Edith is passionate about empowering clients, fostering resilience, and supporting long-term recovery through evidence-based practices and meaningful therapeutic relationships.
Outside of work, Edith enjoys spending quality time with her family, visiting amusement parks, attending concerts with her cousins, best friend, or fiancé, and watching movies or going to the theater. She also loves traveling, and loves relaxing by the beach. Her vibrant personal life complements her professional dedication, reflecting her strong belief in balance, self-care, and meaningful connection.
